Union of handwoven carpet producers and exporters of Iran

Introduction

In order to promote the role and status of Iranian hand-woven carpets and preserve and support its production and export, as well as the development of the culture and art of this Iranian historical work, the Union of Hand-woven Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters of Iran, affiliated to the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines of Iran, in compliance with the laws and Its bylaws have been formed.

The first chapter – General

Article 1- Name

Union of handwoven carpet producers and exporters of Iran

It is a trade union, specialized, non-political, non-profit institution, which is called a union for brevity in this statute. (Explanation that producers in this statute are those who are both producers and exporters)

Note 1 – In this statute, for the sake of brevity, the word Chamber will be used for the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines.

Note 2 – In this statute, wherever the word “carpet” or the phrase “Iranian carpet” is used, it means handwoven Iranian carpet.

Article 2- Place

The main center of the union is in Tehran, and if necessary, it can open its branches inside or outside the country. Determining the legal location of the union and any subsequent changes in it, as well as the establishment or dissolution of branches, is at the discretion of the board of directors, which will be officially announced after going through legal procedures.

 

Article 3- Citizenship

The Union has the citizenship of the Islamic Republic of Iran

Article 4-Duration of activity

The activity period of the union is unlimited from the date of establishment.

The second chapter – objectives, policies and methods

Article 5

The aims, policies and methods of the union are as follows:

5-1- Maintaining and supporting the interests of the union members in the field of Iranian carpet production and export activities through maintaining and developing national markets and acquiring new markets.

2-5- Carrying out any measures to develop the production and export of Iranian carpets through holding training courses, carrying out research projects, holding or participating in seminars and exhibitions of Iranian carpets inside or outside the country and finally carrying out any Commercial or cultural marketing and advertising that is necessary in Iran or the world.

5-3- Necessary measures to improve the quality of Iran’s handmade carpets in terms of raw materials, color, texture and design, as well as guide manufacturers in cooperation with relevant institutions and organizations to achieve the above goals.

5-4- Necessary measures to encourage the production and export of handwoven carpets in Iran and also to prevent the use of synthetic materials, low-quality colors, and fake textures that lead to the production of low-quality carpets and ultimately the stagnation and crisis of its market, or to The authenticity and reputation of Iranian carpets abroad will be damaged in some way.

5-5- Efforts and action to prevent other countries from abusing the name of Iranian carpets and taking necessary measures with the cooperation of relevant governmental and non-governmental centers and organizations in identifying and offering Iranian carpets in international markets.

6-5- Preparing and proposing the necessary plans in cooperation with the Chamber and economic organizations of the country to attract the opinion of officials and stakeholders in the field of establishing and implementing laws and regulations that are effective for the production and development of the carpet art and industry and its export and supply in the target markets. .

5-7- Establishing a technical, economic and legal office in order to collect and prepare information and statistics in the field of all activities related to carpets and permanent communication with global markets.

8-5- To carry out any action that is necessary with the support and material and spiritual assistance of the government in order to market and develop, produce and export Iranian carpets through organizing seminars, exhibitions and commercial or cultural advertisements in Iran and the world.

5-9- To prevent any unhealthy competition that would somehow harm the authenticity, production and export of Iranian carpets.

5-10- Cooperation with all institutions and unions that are somehow involved in the production (including raw materials and texture) and sales and export of carpets.

5-11- Encouraging small production (including raw materials and texture) and export units to develop Iran’s handmade carpet exports.

Chapter 3 – Membership and sources of income

Article 6- Conditions of membership

All natural or legal persons who are manufacturers and exporters or only exporters of carpets are accepted as members of the union by accepting the provisions of this statute and committing to fulfill its provisions according to the following conditions.

A- Citizenship of Iran

Note: Accepting the membership of foreign nationals will be done with the opinion of the Ministry of Commerce.

B- Having a valid membership card from Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines

C- Not being convicted of committing a crime, as well as other persons mentioned in Article 111 of the Trade Law

D- Absence of bankruptcy due to fault

Note 1- If necessary and according to the conditions of the day, the board of directors can determine other criteria for accepting membership applicants in addition to the criteria mentioned in Article 6 of this statute.

Note 2- If the board of directors deems the applicant to be eligible for the conditions mentioned in Article 6 of this statute and other criteria that it will determine in the implementation of Note 1, it will approve his membership and issue the applicant’s membership card.

Note 3 – If the applicant is not eligible and his application is rejected, he can apply for membership again after 6 months from the date of rejection of the application so that his application will be considered again.

Note 4 – With regard to the above, according to Article 6 and its notes in this statute, a person who has a valid membership card is called a member.

Note 5- If the applicant for membership in the union is a legal entity (companies), a membership card will be issued in the name of the representative of the legal entity who is introduced to the union by the CEO or chairman of the board of directors or one of the members of the board of directors by the company, with the name of the company.
